Changing Kickit links

I've noticed that links to dances on Kickit change quite often, so a dance that I put a link to last week now points to a different dance. Useless! That doesn't seem to be a problem with Copperknob, luckily. So I'm going to change how I reference dances found on Kickit. I'll put the name of the dance followed by the last name of the choreographer in brackets, and then put a link to the main search page of Kickit. You can copy and paste the name of the dance into the Kickit search field (don't include the choreographer's name when you copy and paste). I may start adding the name of the choreographer to all the dances, just in case that starts happening to Copperknob as well.

Flash mob in Arnprior July 1st

Hyacinth is organizing a flash mob as part of the July 1st Canada Day celebrations in Arnprior. She's looking for as many people as possible to take part. Here's the information she sent me:

(1)-red tops and white bottoms, OR white tops and red
bottoms
(2)-no hats required, but may be worn if desired
(3)-it will be SHUFFLE-BOOGIE-SOUL for the Flash Mob
(4)-there will be a rehearsal the previous week (on Tue
or Wed or Thu); since this will be mainly to pinpoint
the staggering of the starting dancers, visiting groups
would not necessarily need to attend this prep, but
they would certainly be very welcome.
(5)-there are only 2 other dances we'll do: (i)-HOOK-
STOMP-VINE, then (ii)-HEY as our audience-
participation number.
(6)-the event will most likely begin at 1:00pm, and the
venue will be down by the rivers at Arnprior's Robert
Simpson Park
(7)-kindly spread the word on behalf of the Town of
Arnprior and myself to as many dancers as you are able,
s'il te plaît, with a request to contact me by calling
or e-mailing--merci beaucoup.

I forgot to mention it last week, but we will have class this Monday despite the fact that it’s Family Day.

And a heads up – there will be no class on March 11th. If you’re interested, Hyacinth says you are more than welcome to come and dance with her class in Pakenham on Thursday March 14. And a reminder of Britt’s dance at the Churchill Centre next Saturday night (Feb. 23, 6:30-10:30, $10 in advance (I have tickets), $12 at the door), and the Arnprior workshop in April (dinner/dance Friday Apr. 12, workshop Saturday Apr. 13 morning & afternoon). I’m going to both and have room in my car if you want a lift.
